Update May 17, 2018 at 2:20 P.M. –
This is an update regarding the murder that occurred on May 9, 2018, at 6104 LBJ Service Road in which the victim Carla Patricia Flores Pavon, Latin female 26 was found deceased in her apartment.
The arrested person is Jimmy Eugene Johnson III B/M/24. He was taken into custody in Walker County during a traffic stop. (An alert notice was placed on his vehicle).
Dallas homicide detectives travelled to Walker County to interview the suspect. He was read his Miranda rights and waived those rights and agreed to speak with detectives. During the interview, it was revealed that property was stolen from the victim during the commission of the murder offense. This property was recovered in the suspect’s vehicle during his arrest. The suspect is being held in Walker County on a murder charge with a $500,000.00 bond. Charges may be enhanced to capital murder at a later date.
On May 9, 2018, at approximately 4:00 p.m., Dallas officers responded to 6104 LBJ Service Road at the request of Dallas Fire and Rescue regarding the death of Carla Patricia Flores-Pavon, Latin female 26. According to a witness, an unknown Latin male was seen leaving the victim’s apartment shortly before she was found unconscious. The victim was transported to an area hospital where she was pronounced deceased. It was determined that the victim exhibited signs that she died from homicidal violence. There is no evidence at this time to suggest this homicide was the result of a hate crime. If anyone has information relating to this offense, please contact Detective Tommy Raley at (214) 283-4856.
